The Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG) – Government Funding
With the Victorian Government improving the training system, 2012 will be a great time to make a start on gaining new skills or upgrading your existing skills. This will assist you in obtaining that hairdressing qualification you’ve always wanted. Under this agreement all training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
2012 – Am I eligible?
If you are under 20 years of age, you are eligible for a government subsidised training place (subject to admission requirements and availability).
If you are 20 years of age or older, you are eligible for a government subsidised training place (subject to admission requirements and availability).
If you are 20 years of age or older, you are eligible for a government subsidised training place that will get you a higher qualification than you already hold: Certificate 11, 111, 1V or Diploma (subject to admission requirements and availability).
In 2011, the Victorian Government will cover between 70% and 90% of the cost of your training in a government subisidised institution. You may still be equired to cover some of the cost by paying tuition fees and equipment.
